Hello, my name is Dr. Bishop Jeremiah Joyous Nimely with Living Waters I.D.T. Ministries, Margibi County, Liberia. Everyone calls me Bishop. This is my Cross Testimony of how I became a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ for His purposes.

I grew up in Sineo County about 200 miles South West of the Capitol City of Monrovia. I am the youngest of five children. Growing up we were a church family. I did all the religious stuff but really didn’t want to be in church.

When I was sixteen I was invited to a church service by a friend. I went and heard the Gospel Preached. The preacher was using the John 3:16 scripture. It was my time. I heard it just like I did hundreds of times before but this time it made perfect sense. There was an altar call and I was up there. I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I wanted to know more. I entered Bible classes to understand everything I could. It turned into a Discipleship Class. The more I learned the more I wanted to be a Disciple of Jesus. When I finished the class, I was all-in. I shouted it out for all to hear. I AM A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST. I WILL GO AND DO AS JESUS DID.

I immediately went to a one-year Gospel ministry class. After graduation I become a Minister for Jesus. I met my wife Roseline and together we entered ministry.

My first ministry position was as a sanctuary Pastor making sure everything was ready for services. It was Helps Ministry on steroids and the Lord was beginning to move in my life. To make ends meet Roseline started a street business selling donuts and cookies and home schooled our children. We could not afford a car, so I walked 2 hours to work each day and 2 hours back.

One day on my way home from work I was a bit tired and hungry. I stumbled in the street and fell to the ground where there was a piece of bread. I got up while picking up the bread, brushed it off and ate it. Three days later I had cholera. By the time I sought medical aide I was so sick there was nothing they could do for me. They moved me aside waiting for me to die.

Just then a prestigious Doctor walked by. He never walked these halls and was out of place. He looked down and saw me and attended to my chart and my predicament. He took charge of my medical care. In one week, I was well and out of the hospital.

I became a street evangelist sharing Jesus Christ with whoever would listen. Many of my old friends came to the gospel because of my sharing what Jesus did for me. That led me into an Apostleship where I started four churches. I then spent time as an Evangelist sharing Jesus to crowds. Many signs, wonders and miracles have happened as the Lord touched people as I prayed.

Four years ago, I prayed for a barren woman who today has three children.

Then a lady approached me who was demon possessed. She was bewitched and not in her right mind. The Lord said, “Touch her.” I did, and she was set free.

In the past few years I have been attacked by diabetes. I was battling as the doctors said but losing ground. My sugar number spiked to 760 and I spoke to the enemy about this situation. Then I asked Jesus for help.

My Doctor then received a dream about me. In his dream God said, “My seventh Jeremiah is at the point of death. I want you to find him and bring him tomorrow morning to the hospital at 5:30 AM. Tell no other Doctor to touch him.”

The Doctor did as directed by the Lord in his dream. He picked me up with his car and took me to the hospital. Once there he did tests on me and determined that my blood sugar was 780. More than 600 points higher than it should be.

I was put on medication and my wife and three ladies in our church prayed continuously for one week. The asked the Lord to bring my blood sugar down. But it was still too high. More medication was applied, and my blood sugar dropped to 120-130 range. It continues at that level without any medication through an adjusted diet. To God be all the Glory!

My favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28 “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” NKJV

The Cross means to me that this is the way to salvation. Trust in Jesus Christ for there is no other way.

This Cross planted means that as I have been preaching about the Cross all these years from the pulpit, that this is now our own Cross for the Glory of God. The Cross a symbol of what Jesus has done for me and for all mankind.
