Hello my name is Pastor Nkululeko from God’s Will Ministry Church in Ahrens, South Africa. It is easiest to call me Pastor Blessing. This is my Cross testimony of how I received Jesus Christ as the light in my life and daily walk in His shadow of love.
I grew up in Durban, South Africa where my dad and mom were excessive drinkers. Their alcohol habits came way before their four children of which I was number three. We were never taught about Jesus or going to church and the darkness of ancestor worship was our way of life. As a young man I was very sickly. Every day was a challenge as I was harassed by severe headaches, stomach problems and asthma.
Dad and mom spent all their money on their drinking habit and had little time to take care of me or my brothers and sisters. As I grew older I learned the ways of ancestor worship. At the age of 17 the head Sangoma (Typical Witch/Witch Doctor) in our area had a prophecy over me. She said if I became a Sangoma and gave my life to Satan healing would take place. I learned the dark craft of Satanism over the next two years — but no healing came.
A friend, when I was age 19 asked me to attend a church with him. I’d never been in a church and was curious what went on. I listened to the Pastor who was speaking about how Jesus was the light of the world and healed people everywhere He went. He said I could be healed if I believed. I had no money for doctors and the dark ancestor worship thing did not work out. I was getting sicker by the day. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior — Jesus, the light of the world, did not let me down. I was immediately healed and none of my symptoms have ever returned.
In two years of study I had learned that Satan has false gifts that trick people and it always ends in dark tragedy. Like everyone I know who is an alcoholic started as a social drinker. Innocently enjoying a beverage with friends until in darkness Satan had control of their lives.
I saw firsthand what it had done to my dad and mom and knew immediately the difference from a dark satanic trap in contrast to the freedom of walking in the light of Jesus.
Immediately after receiving Christ my family life improved as the light of Jesus in me shined all around. Mom and my brothers and sisters received the light of Christ. Then we were blessed with a miracle — they all received good-paying responsible jobs. Mom saw the light and stopped drinking. She now loves Jesus and attends church regularly.
I continued to desire more of the light of Jesus and went to Bible school graduating and becoming ordained. Since then I have served in numerous churches as an assistant pastor. Now I am the Pastor of the Ahrens Church and take my job very seriously since I’ve been on both sides — darkness verses light. The hell of the Bible is dark and as real as the light of heaven. And as a Pastor it is my job to introduce people to the light of Jesus. And teach them how to reject the darkness and lies Satan uses to entrap people.
Pastor Bill tell your readers about the darkness and lies of Satan. As a Sangoma I learned there are two kinds. One is a Prophecy Sangoma and the other is a Healing Sangoma. They are placed on this earth to deceive people and pull them away from the light of Jesus. Please warn them to be very careful and use the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in the Bible as their guide. Tell them to run long and hard from the darkness and stay on the path of light in Jesus.
My favorite Bible verse is John 1:1-5 which is about Jesus creating everything and standing as our light. “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” NLT Bible Paraphrase
The Cross to me symbolizes the greatest love ever exhibited — the Love of Jesus who gave His life for you and me. His sacrifice allows all who believe in Him to walk in His ways of light.
This Cross planted stands as a beacon of light for change. We just changed everything here in Ahrens when we planted this Cross. Nothing will ever be the same as now everyone who walks, drives or passes by will know Jesus is alive and cares for them. It is a cornerstone of faith for all to come and witness the light and learn about freedom through Jesus Christ.
Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” NKJV
Prayer: Father thank you for sending Jesus Christ as a shining light for a dark world. Help me do as Pastor Blessing and tell everyone I meet to escape from the darkness of Satan and run to the light of Jesus. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
