And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. NLT (Bible Paraphrase)
The foundation of Turning Point Children’s Home is Christ himself. This Cross planted will give the children in the home a direct link with Jesus. They will learn that Jesus gave His life for each of us. That whosoever believes in Him will have eternal life.
Children have been abandoned by the death on their parents or left at the door step of a hospital. Some of the many reasons could be economic, under age moms or immaturity.
Children in our home receive love, understanding, care and direction for their lives. We pray with the children and they attend Turning Point Worship Center church and have an opportunity to learn and grow in the Lord.
Our next plan will be to establish a Christian School for the kids in the home with open enrollment to any parent who wants their children to have a faith based Christian education. A school where we teach Jesus Christ is Lord and the children learn to love and develop a personal relationship with the King of Kings.
Hello, my name is Israel Linda Mosehla and this is my Cross Testimony of how Jesus Christ directs my life through music. I was born in Soweto, South Africa. I am the oldest of four children with two brothers and a sister. May parents were preachers and musicians. Our family released three Christian albums in the 80’s. I was very fortunate to have a father who understood and loved music. My brother Isaiah and I received a formal Musical education studying Music Theory, Piano and Violin at the Funda Arts Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In 1985, Israel together with his brother Isaiah and two friends Bongani and Jabu formed a dynamic gospel Group called G. Effect. The group released two Christian Gospel albums. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with prominent names in the African Gospel scene.
Between 2003 and 2005 G. Effect toured the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Brazil. In the USA, G-Effect had the opportunity to perform in New York, Chicago, Ohio and Dallas. Israel will never forget the 9th of July 2005 when he shared the stage with The Temptations. They were performing in the USA at the Freedom Festival hosted by Calvary Temple. The following morning there was a headline in the newspaper saying: G. Effect Featuring the Temptations
Israel has also toured throughout Africa — Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Senegal and Zimbabwe. The demand for his music is growing all over Southern Africa.
Israel ministers through Gospel music workshops where Jesus Christ is worshiped through music and lives are changed. Israel is happily married to Millicent and they are blessed with six children: Lesego, Tshegofatso, Katlego, Kagiso, Tumi and Gontse.
This Cross planted symbolizes the desire to Declare Gods Glory over all of Africa.
Prayer: Father thank you for T P Children’s home as a light of hope through Jesus Christ for Your children in need. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
