My name is Grace Moremi and this is my testimony:

My husband and I had been married for 23 years and desperately tried for years to have children. We did everything the doctors and friends said to do but still no children. In desperation we visited a Witch Doctor (Medicine Man) we call a Sangoma. The Sangoma laid out a plan for me to have children. We listened intently and decided that if this is what it takes to have children we will do it.

The plan of the Sangoma was simple enough for me to have children:
1. My ancestors wanted me to become a Sangoma
2. If I became a Sangoma my womb would open with children
3. Success in everything I did would follow
4. Wealth would follow

For two years I practiced the art of being a Sangoma and my situation went from difficult to very bad. Our finances dried up, I did not get pregnant and finally my husband left me for another woman.

I was devastated. All my hopes and dreams were crushed. I was sitting in my bedroom asking myself questions about this kind of life I had chosen. It was as if I was talking to somebody. They were telling me to try this Jesus I heard so much about. I was at the crossroads in my life. I was convicted in my heart and started to cry uncontrollably.

When I regained my composure I was standing in my Domba (home) with a pick axe in my hands. I began digging as fast as I could — I dug up the altar to the ancestors I had built and destroyed all the muti bottles and dolo’ds.

When I looked at myself in the mirror I was still wearing the beads and Mahlosi clothes of a Sangoma. Suddenly I tore them off my body and threw them to the floor.

I called my aunt who is a born again Christian and a born again child of God. She came immediately and helped me make a pile of evil things. I bought five liters of gasoline and burned everything I could think of that was associated with being a Sangoma.

Satan was angry. He was mad. He tormented me for my destruction of his property. The tormenting drove me to drink poison in an attempt to take my life in search of relief from the torment. But my aunt and other Christians
were praying for me and Satan could not have my life.

I was in the hospital recovering from the poison when an unknown lady (an Angel of the Lord) came to me and said, “God has sent me to tell you that he is giving you a second chance and I should accept Jesus as my personal savior.”
I immediately raised my hands and accepted Jesus Christ as Savior of my life and became born again. Since then I have never looked back.

October 2010 I reconciled with my husband and forgave him for his indiscretions. We rededicated our marriage in church. Our finances have been restored with a prosperous small business and I am still not pregnant but we are trusting the Lord Jesus Christ will take care of that need. Until then the Lord has given me a ministry feeding the children in Mmolta. This has filled my heart with joy.

This cross is a living example of the power of Jesus Christ in my life and I thank the Lord every day for saving my life, my soul, my marriage and my finances. And every day I thank the Lord for allowing me to serve him through the feeding program of these children.

Prayer: Father thank you for touching Grace’s life and setting her free — help me to see the evil things in my life that should likewise be burned for freedom in Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
